What is “Low Body Movement Alert"?

“Low Body Movement Alert” means detection of downward trending of low body movement count detection, due to change in low breath detection.
The Parent Control Unit display will blink, switching between current body movement count reading and ‘L’symbol. (to indicate downward trending of low body movement count detection)

Issue Possible Cause Remedy
False alarm

The baby may have excessive movement when the caretaker/sibling is playing or attending to the baby’s needs (changing diapers, feeding, patting)

External event such as patting action, high vibration or motor-running activities near the Mat

Switch off the Parent Control Unit when the caretaker/parent/sibling is attending to the baby. Switch it on again to continue monitoring when baby is asleep.
No alarm tone Battery may be low Check battery level and replace battery if needed.  
No movement monitor tone   1.  The baby movement monitor tone may be off. 
2.  Battery may be low  
1.  Turn on the monitor tone with the MODE button 
2.  Check battery level and replace batteries if needed.
No movement detected   The sensitivity level may be low.   Adjust up the sensitivity level with the SELECT button  
‘M’ (Movement) display on the Parent Control Unit when baby is sound asleep   Baby may have strong movement patterns   Adjust down the sensitivity level with the SELECT button  
Out of range indication   1.  The mat and Parent Control Unit are too far apart.
2.  The mat or Parent Control Unit may be placed near large metal objects.
3.  The link between the mat or Parent Control Unit may be lost
4.  Battery is not inserted on the mat.  
1.  Try to adjust the relative distance nearer between the mat   
     and Parent Control Unit.  
2.   Ensure battery is inserted on the mat side. 
3.   Power off and on again for both the mat and Parent Control 
      Unit to try establishing the link. 
4.   Enable manual pairing by powering on 1 mat and 1 Parent 
      Control Unit. (refer to Page 10, item 15 under the section: 
      Operation of the iBabyGuard Infant Smart Mat)  
5.   Ensure battery is inserted on the mat side.  
Wireless link loss 1.  Range too far between mat and Parent control unit
2.  Low Battery 
1.  Maintain closer range between mat and parent control unit
2.  Replace batteries
Low battery indication   Batteries on the mat or Parent Control Unit may be low or faulty.   Replace batteries.
